Happy Monday! I do hope everyone had a great weekend. Last weekend, in the midst of cleaning, sorting and organizing our garage... I received a text from a friend/client asking if I could make her another doll. She has ordered more dolls from me than any of my other friends or clients, so I'm always tickled when she asks!
However, I stated.. we were in midst of this huge undertaking and I dreaded telling her 'no'. It just so happen that day, I had gotten a few packages that needed to be taken up to my sewing room. Once I was up there, I saw them... I had 2 dolls already made! How could I forget that?! I was very happy to let her know and let her chose which one she would like to purchase. Needless to say, when she texted me back that she wanted both of them, I was so overjoyed, thrilled and so tickled pink! Yay!
If you read the comments, I do state that not everyone likes my dolls. I do understand this logic to some degree because I do see a lot of dolls that I do not like. For real. I'm just happy these little beauties will be off to their new homes soon! Thank you Sarah for your continued support and all the love you have these dolls!
Here are a couple of the dollies from the past in the making and as well as the finished product. I am very thankful for all the orders I've had for these girl dolls (haven't made a boy yet) and very appreciative of all the positive feedback about them! THANK YOU if you have ordered one in the past!
I would like to share.. the doll pattern comes from a stack of patterns my Mother gave me years ago. The doll & clothes pattern are homemade; cut out from parchment paper, although it does not come with a printed face and/or any instructions at all. After I made these last 2, I really decided not to make them anymore. But then I get a text, and how quickly I'm reminded of how much I enjoy making them! Also, I do have a few ideas on how to improve the pattern more to my liking, but have not had the chance to start that.
So wish me luck with that! Thanks for reading!
Until next time,

OK, so it's been a couple of weeks since I've updated... but oh here we go!
Changes are on the way ... again. Yes, again.
We have been doing a lot of cleaning, re-arranging, and changes around the house. We were able to get the garage all cleaned out, every box unpacked, sorted, put away or thrown out. It is very organized-which I love! I'm so proud at how it turned out, too! My favorite part is driving into the garage and seeing all the license plates that belonged to my parents. The oldest one is 1951!! I love the chains hanging down and my husband's old cowboy hat are the perfect touch!!
There is still A LOT more work to do. Room swapping, closets need to be cleaned out, more sorting and getting rid of stuff... which is why I have not been able to really concentrate on getting a pattern posted once a week or even my April GAW. I did have everything ready for my Easter GAW, but missed my own deadline. No matter how well I plan, schedule, and try to keep up... life happens.
Remember if you have any questions regarding any of the patterns previously posted, please feel free to contact me!
Until next time...
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND ER'BODY!!!

As I begin the new year, I decided to delete all my blog entries-if you haven't noticed. I understand it's frowned upon, but I just wanted to start fresh-like brand new in order for me to stay focused on the new year.
The one thing I would like to do is share what's going on in my Sewing Room. I've had a couple of visitors this week, too! My sister Anna stopped by and my Mother brought me the most beautiful scarves as well as more vintage sewing patterns-because goodness, I can never have enough of them. I absolutely love all the scarves, too! I mean, just look at them!!
I'd also like to share my custom orders that I'm working on, Crochet patterns I've found/love, Vintage Crochet patterns from my library and so much more.
It's my hope you'll find all this info helpful and inspiring.
With that being said, I do thank you for stopping by my blog!
Until next time,
