Hello to all! I know it has been a while since I've posted a Vintage Crochet Pattern, but the days just get busy. However, I am extremely happy to say... the house is back in order! Woohoo!!!
As I was moving into my new sewing room and organizing all my crochet books, I stumbled upon this little gem. The Pattern is called "Perfectly Pink" (( <--- click to download )). It is found in the June 1993 issue #39 of "Hooked on Crochet!" Magazine. I decided to make this sweater 3 months size portion in the instructions.
Materials needed for this Project:
Please forgive my photos, I was not very diligent taking pictures of each step. But the pattern is not hard to follow. Once you complete the 31 rows in the slanted shell stitch, you will then join your yarn on the other side of your sweater, which is called 'the second front' in the pattern-as shown in the second photo-ABOVE. It will then create a mirror image -shown in the fourth photo-ABOVE.
I can't tell you how happy I am with this pattern! I LOVE when it all comes together so nice to where it just shines on its own. What's more perfect is that once you get it started, there's no counting the stitches-just the rows, so you really get your "relaxing crochet" when you really need it, yet you still want to create something beautiful. Who doesn't love that?!
Until next time... I will be working on the booties and bonnet of this set!
Keep Croch-yayin' Yall!
...and Lord bless,
