Hey, y'all! Hope everyone is doing well! This week I'm sharing this adorable baby sweater that is so incredibly quick and easy! It can be found in Crochet Fantasy Magazine, 1985 November issue. You can download the pattern here.
In Photo 1, you can see it is the first 19 Rows creating the neck line. Photo 2 is the beginning of the body. Photos 3 & 4 shows how to fold the collar in half in order to continue the body with the Shell Stitch, which continues until Row 34. In Photos 5 & 6, you can see I chose to single crochet around the whole piece.. mainly because I prefer straight edges always.
In these next set of photos, I begin the sleeves. You will have a total of 9 shells around the whole arm and 12 Rows down the arm. However, I did make the mistake of getting too happy about finishing the first sleeve and only got to 9 rows. I also failed to finish the collar border properly for the ribbon. :\ But that happens with me, sometimes... just more proof that crochet is always forgiving even in our mistakes. :)
Look! It's just so super cute! It would make the perfect gift and you could whip it up in no time at all!
Until next time, I hope you enjoy this one! Remember if you decide to make this, please tag me in your photo on Instagram so I can Re-post it!
I'd rather be in my Sewing Room.
